Snatched

The kidnapping of a young girl puts a small town police force on high alert. A little girl is kidnapped from her home. A harrowing search gets underway in hopes of finding her before she’s killed. Police know time is of the essence. The story is about the little things that go right and the inspiration a victim can provide decades later, without ever knowing about it.

Engine 5

The firefighters of Engine 5 get called to a house fire. As the trucks pull up, they realize they’re being shot at. As they retreat, cops get called in. Meantime, two more houses catch fire as offices try to find the shooter in the shadows. Det. Justin leads the investigation. Officers Andy and Robert look to save the day.

Cover Now!

In recognition of National Police Week, the team sit down with the founder of Cover Now, which supports injured police and their families.

Retired Detective Jeff wanted to do a daily push-up challenge to raise money for a national agency that provides services to law enforcement families in need. When he discovered there was no such organization, he started one called the Cover Now Fund. The Small Town Dicks team sits down with friend and actor Kevin Pollak, who is on the board of Cover Now and its founder, Det. Jeff, to discuss their work in providing outreach to first responders in need.

The Imposition

A mother gets home to find her infant Mariah’s head lolling from side to side when she holds her in her arms. The mother asks Mariah’s father, who had been looking after the baby, “What happened?!” He says he doesn’t know and that the child was fine when he put her to sleep. The parents rush Mariah to the hospital and, when the doctors examine her, they immediately call the police to investigate.

Jekyll & Hyde

A woman is found dead on her couch, a gun by her side. It appears maybe she shot herself in the head. More than a decade later a woman is found dead in her bed, a gun nearby. What did they have in common besides the manner of death? A man who stalked the first woman and married the latter. Investigators are able to tie the two shootings together and arrest the doc for murder.

Discarded

A family finds the dead body of a woman on a remote logging road. It’s wrapped in a blanket. Police at first don’t know what happened, though foul play is suspected. They figure out who the victim is and then find her boyfriend, who happens to be in jail for a separate assault. Despite thin resources, detectives begin to build a case.

The Grudge

Chris’s house is burglarized while he’s at a music festival. When police arrive they see that his outdoor security camera lines have been cut. Turns out the crime was committed by his former roommate because Chris stole his former roommate’s girlfriend. We later find out that the suspect is also wanted in conjunction with a home invasion where his DNA ends up at the scene of the crime because he got hit in the head with the muzzle-end of a shotgun and it took out a chunk of his skull.
